General
- The customer needs to be able to swim.
- The customer has to accept a life west and bring it along on the tour, prefferable on the body.
- Kinda Kajak has the right to refuse rental to a customer that behaves careless with the equipment, drunk, brings along
large quantities of alcohol or in some other way behaves unsuitable.
- The rental time is defined as the time from equipment pic up until the equipment has been cleaned and returned.
- The customer shall for sequrity reason inform Kinda Kajak about the planned paddle route.
- Delays can always happen, both for the customer and for Kinda Kajak. We show eachother consideration by informing
eachother as soon as possible regarding potential delays.
- The customer shall be informed about and follow the applicable rules regarding bird protected areas and nature reserations.
- The customer undertake not to disturb or destroy the nature. No garbage shall be left in the nature!
- The customer undertake to follow the rules of company Kinda Kanal regarding how to get through the river locks.

Booking and payment
- A booking is binding independent of how it is made. We do not accept preliminary bookings. However,
knowledge of the customers preliminay plans may be useful for both of us.
- Booking is mady by telephone or through a visit to our shop.
- The customer has to be at least 18 years old. Children, 12 years or older, are allowed to rent a kayak in the company of an adult.
One adult per 2 children in the age between 12-15 years or per 5 children in the age between 15-18 years is required.
- Full payment shall be made in advance. If that is not possible, Kinda Kajak reserves the right to refuse rental.
- The customer shall be able to show identification or leave a deposit of 12000 SEK per rented equipment at pick-up.
If this cannot be made, Kinda Kajak reserves the right to refuse rental.
- 20 percentage of the rental amount shall be paid in advance no later than the day after booking if the total rental amount
exceeds 600 SEK. Remember to bring a receipt at pick-up!

Cancellation
- Cancellation more than 24 hours in advance is free of charge. However, if a 20% booking fee has been paid (see point 6 above),
this amount is not paid back.
- Cancellation later than 24 hours in advance but before the start is charged by 20% of the total rental amount. If a booking fee
of 20% already has been paid (according to point 6 above) this 20% comes in addition, making it 40% in total.
- Failure to show up or cancellation after rental start is debited by 100% of the rental cost.
- Due to our generous terms and conditions considering cancellation, no special conditions apply in case of sickness or other
impediment.

Cancellation due to hard wind and/or contineously raining
- The customer and Kinda Kajak may agree to cancel the rental if the wind is so hard that safety is in question or the
weather forecasts predicts contineously raining.
The customer should contact Kinda Kajak to discuss this issue before the start of the rental if the customer is skeptic about the weather.
What should be considered as hard wind is depending of the customers experience, wind direction and the considered waters. No customer
should feel forced to paddle in a weather condition in which the customer feels uncertain. Kinda Kajak shall however always be involved
in these discussions and observe that the desicion cannot be taken by the customer alone. If a booking fee has been paid, this amount is
disposible at a new booking.

Customer responsibility
- To paddle a kayak is from a legal point of view comparable with driving a small boat which means that it is on
your own responsibility and at your own risk.
- Rented equipment shall be returned in initial condition and number. The customer is liable to pay compensation for
damages or lost equipment. A destroyd kayak should be compensated to market value. A damaged kayak shall be compensated
with the cost for repair in form of work time, material and eventually the drop in market value.
Lost or destroyd equipment (apart from a kayak) shall be compensated with the cost of replacement.
- The equipment shall be cleaned at return. Kinda Kajak supplies material for this.
- The customer becomes immediatly liable to pay compensation for the kayak or other equipment if it is stolen.
The customer and Kinda Kajak should make a police report together. Stolen equipment that is refound becomes the customers if
otehr compensation has been paid. Make sure to store your rented equipment in a safe place!
- The insurances of Kinda Kajak does not cover the customer.
- The customer shall report whatever equipment defects or deficiencys that are eventually found already at pick up.
- It is the customers responsibility that the equipment is returned clean and ready for the next customer before the rental time expires.
The customer should pay a fair fee for the additional rental time as well a fee to a waiting customer if the equipment is
returned to late. The fee to a waiting customer, if applicable, is 100 SEK per kayak and started hour.

The responsibility of Kinda Kajak
- Kinda Kajak is responsible for that the equipment is seaworthy and that the skeg and/or rudder system works.
- The hatches may for several reasons not always be completely water proof and Kinda Kajak can therefore not be liable for
eventual damages to the customers private equipment.
- A customer that due to delay of an earlier customer does not receive its equipment in time receives 100 SEK per kayak
and started hour as compensation. The customer will receive compensation also for delays caused by Kinda Kajak.
